Is there a God? Who is God? Is He angry? Does He love me? How can I know Him? We ask ourselves these question from childhood into adolescence and throughout adulthood. Even when you think you have found your answer, there is always a new life event that urges you to step forward in your journey of knowing God.
There is one loving, personal God, and He is the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether you are aware of it or not, how you perceive God dramatically impacts your approach to life. The degree to which you experience peace or anxiety is connected to how you view God. Is He demanding perfection from you or does He envelope you with mercy and compassion? The way you interact with strangers, loved ones, children, and co-workers is intimately entwined with your relationship with God. Do you believe He created everyone with unique gifts and purpose; or does the god of materialism, jealousy, and competition rule over you?
The main message I hope you find here is that there is a God, He loves you, He wants you to know Him, He has a plan for you, you are not alone, and He is with you now. People of every faith are saved if they live sincerely according to their religion. My prayer for you is that each day you grow to know God more personally, more intimately, and more fully than the day before.
Coming to know God is the journey of life.
Peace,
Rev. Jeremy Smith
